5th edition

©Alexandra Frankewitz

From May 21 to 24, 2016, in the Hay Mohammadi district of Casablanca, THE GREENHOUSE offers a space open to all, with a shared workspace, a free coffee, a photo studio, participatory workshops, a library, screenings and meetings. In the presence of Campus Marrakech (live and podcast) and in partnership with Initiatives Urbaines.

THE PROGRAM

Every day between 2pm and 9pm

"Collective museum: the carousels of Yasmina Park"

After months of repairs and interventions by the artist on the piece that was recovered after being abandoned for more than 15 years in the Parc de la Ligue Arabe, the merry-go-round in the Derb Moulay Cherif neighborhood, Hay Mohammadi, is back in motion and open to the public.

The Collective museum is a project led by the artist Mohamed Fariji to create a museum of Casablanca's collective memory, through recovery actions (such as those carried out last October on the occasion of the demolition of the mythical Parc Yasmina) and action-exhibitions, as in this case with the reactivation of a carousel in the same park.

Experience: Zero Zbel

For The Greenhouse, Soukaina el Idrissi, artist and founding member of the Zero Zbel association with Mamoun Ghallab and Kenza Benamour, proposes an experiment in "zero waste" management.

The Zero Zbel association is the result of the convergence of several individual initiatives aimed at promoting changes in attitudes and behavior and encouraging citizen action to protect our environment.
